Winnie & Walter October Release - Day 1

October 28, 2014

Hey there, blog friends! Welcome to day 1 of the October Winnie & Walter release!  We've got a TON of good stuff in store for you.  We are releasing ten (10) stamp sets + coordinating cut files + two (2) new product lines!!  Do you want to win it all?  Be sure to follow the posting instructions on The Big Giveaway post on the Winnie & Walter blog.

Today we are featuring the following new  stamp sets & products
  • Eat Drink Gingerbread Man
  • Mini Scenery: The Peppermint Zone
  • Creative Screenings

You also have a chance to win these two stamp sets + Creative Screenings on today's post at the Winnie & Walter blog!  I've whipped up a couple of cards using these new items today.  I went with pretty simple designs for both of my cards, featuring lots of white space.  I really wanted to let these new products shine!

For my first card, I kept the spotlight on our new Creative Screenings from The Big, The Bold and the Merry set.  (There is also another new product featured on my card....but you will get the details on those later this week.)

The Creative Screenings are SO much fun to combine with watercolor!!  I sneak peeked the Scenery: Triangled Creative Screening in THIS POST last week.  There are 19 new Creative Screenings in total, and they are all really amazing!  I think you are going to love them!  Normally I would try to flatten out my watercolor paper from the warping that occurs while painting....but I actually liked the warped dimension that it gave this card.  So, I kept it as is.  What do you think?  Should I have flattened it, or kept it as is?

For my second card I focused on the two stamp sets.  These sets are a new smaller size for Winnie & Walter, coming in at 3x4.  I combined them, and added The Peppermint Zone behind a sentiment from Eat Drink Gingerbread Man.  I really love the bold red of the ink....it just made the peppermint swirl pop!
In order for the sentiment to hold its own on that bright red background, I heat embossed it with detail black embossing powder.  You can't really tell in the photo, but the sentiment is super shiny!  The colors of this card just make me think of Santa...what about you?

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Winnie & Walter Talent created with our featured products, as I am sure it is going to be a treat!  I'm going to make myself a latte & do the same!
I will be back tomorrow, sharing more projects with our new products!  Have a great Tuesday!

Until later,
~L.
